During last summer my husband and I began lookig for our "dream" home - the one we would retire to and where we would live out our golden years.  We asked Roberta for help.  She had been our agent  on the purchase of two other homes in the area and we knew from experience she could help us.  It was a tall task - we were living in Alaska, planning to retire the following summer - so we were basically window shopping...but serious about it.  We wanted water view (who doesn't?), up to five acres of land, and the character and feel of a hundred year old home with the conveniences of new construction.  Oh - and we didn't want to spend  much over $400,000.  Most realtors would give up with those kind of expectations - but we didn't ask just any realtor, we asked Roberta.  We found a manificent older home on the west side of Olympia that was almost affordable that summer - but we opted out of making an offer after two visits and consulting a carpenter.

We had seen every older home in the area and were preparing to return to our jobs in Alaska when Roberta called with one more house to show us - it was no longer listed, but she had heard about it and called the owner.  It was exactly what we were looking for -great location, near water, on almost five acres, but it was new construction - unfinished - that had the character and feel of an older, one-of-a kind home.  With Roberta's help we offered, counter-offered, and bought the home of our dreams at a price we could afford.  But the story doesn't end there.  When mortgages rates went down, Roberta suggested we check out refinancing and save ourselves thousands of dollard over the years.  So we did.

Did I mention she didn't "drop us" off her contact list when we bought the home?  We still receive mailings, information, and tokens of her appreciation for being her customers.  We have recommended her to friends who are planning to buy or sell a home and they have told us how much they appreciate the referral to such a quality realtor.  We think she means it when she says, "I love this job!"
