About Roberta
I’m Roberta Rudnick. The Olympia-Thurston County area has been my home
since I was a child. My four brothers and I grew up in a big, old
farmhouse near the shores of Long Lake. I even went to college here,
graduating from St. Martin’s University, with a degree in psychology.
Family
is the most important thing in my life, and I’m lucky to have a loving
husband, Terry, and two great sons, Evan and Adam, and to have most of
my extended family nearby.
I feel an obligation to give back to
the community and to the profession that have given me so much. I’m
proud to be a part of the Christmas Forest program, decorating a tree to
be auctioned off to benefit the Providence St. Peter Foundation as well
as financial participation in Prudential’s Sunshine Kids project, which
funds trips and vacations for kids who have cancer.
Real estate
agents and even realty companies come and go, but I’ve been a licensed
agent right here in Thurston County since 1984, and in many cases worked
with two generations of home buyers and sellers. I have been with
Prudential since 1995 and am on the Board of Directors of Prudential
Olympia Realtors.
I am very proud of my CRS (Certified
Residential Specialist) designation. It means that I have completed the
most rigorous training and achieved the top professional designation
available to Realtors. Only four percent of real estate agents have
earned that status. I’m also proud to have been among the top
Prudential Agents Nationwide to earn the Prudential Chairman’s Gold
Award.
During my career I’ve seen real estate go from a sellers’
market to a buyers’ market and back again several times, and always have
been able to persevere to my clients’ benefit in either situation.
I
truly believe that shopping for a home should be fun and that selling a
home is the start of a new adventure in life. Whether you are buying
or selling, my job is to make it as easy and fulfilling as it can be.
My
clients become friends, and I want them to be happy with their sale or
purchase long after the transaction is done. That’s part of the reason
why I stay in close contact with my current and former clients via
phone, e-mail and regular mailings.
Like the hundred of clients
I’ve worked with over the years, I live here for a variety of reasons.
The area has a small-town feeling, where people still say hello when
they meet on the street. The Olympia-Thurston County area has good
schools, plenty of parks, lots of shopping and a wide array of
recreational opportunities. We’re within easy driving range of Tacoma,
Seattle and Portland without the daily traffic congestion and hectic
lifestyle associated with those large cities.
Buying a home or
property in Thurston County also makes good financial sense. The large
number of state employees here provided a broad homeowner base and
helps ensure a dependab le real estate market. I tell my clients that
Thurston County real estate is a great investment, and I practice what I
preach by investing here myself, not only in my northeast Olympia home,
but in several rental properties in Olympia and Tumwater.
